May 4     Rotary / Kiwanis Softball Game
Annual Rotary vs Kiwanis softball game. Winner gets bragging rights for a year!!!! All Rotarians and families are encouraged to come and cheer their team on. It has proven in past games to be an entertaining day. Bring the entire family for food and fellowship and watch Rotary continue their dominance over the ailing Kiwanians. Signups will be April 30. Cheerleaders and cheering sections are needed! May 4, 2008, 2 pm - first pitch / 7 innings Southern Poly Tech State University. Williamson Bros BBQ with fixin’s served. May 24     National Cemetery Flag Placement
The Boy Scouts of America will place flags beside every grave at the National Cemetery in preparation for the official Memorial Day Ceremony on Monday. It only takes the scouts about 45 minutes to accomplish the task, so do not be late. For details please see Susan Upchurch, Mark Barbour, or Brian McNair.

May 25     Prepare for Memorial Day Ceremony
Rotarians are needed to help prepare for the Memorial Day Ceremony on Monday. Water will be iced, seat placement cards put out, and a variety of other tasks that will need to be completed this evening. For details please see Susan Upchurch, Mark Barbour, or Brian McNair.

May 26     National Memorial Day Ceremony
Marietta National Cemetery · Marietta, Georgia With the help of the Boy Scouts of America, flags will be placed beside every grave at the cemetery before the official ceremony begins. The event will begin at noon on May 26th and will feature patriotic music, posting of the colors, prayers, a gun salute and inspiring speakers. All veterans, as well the general public, are invited to attend what will be a meaningful and memorable ceremony. For details please see Susan Upchurch, Mark Barbour, or Brian McNair.
