On Wednesday, July 14th , Richard Cope of the Rotary Club of Marietta provided details for the Club's international project, "Crutches4Africa." Starting this week and for the next few months, the Club will be collecting usable crutches, canes, walkers, and wheelchairs. These items will be taken to Africa by Rotarians for distribution to handicapped children and adults. Crutches and other mobility devices are luxury items to the people who crawl on the ground due to their disabilities, yet, we Americans often have these items stashed away in our basements or attics. Should anyone like to donate any of these items, you may bring them to the lobby of the Marietta Daily Journal office during regular business hours. Be sure to ask your family members and friends to help with this worthy cause.
